Last week I wrote about the East Saint Louis High School football team's troubles with the High School Athletic Association.
After a court hearing last week the team was allowed to play in the first round of the championship playoffs, where they beat neighboring Belleville West High.
This week the same judge ruled for the Illinois High School Athletic Association's declaration that the ESL team forfeit all games played by their ineligible player, including last weeks playoff.
Belleville West will now proceed as is they won.
Any lesson to be learned from this fiasco has now been lost by all, save maybe the players at Belleville West.

Greetings from a fellow Missourian. Teams seldom learn anything when they win ALL the time. Please check out my blog The Emperor's New Clothes at http://enc2010.blogspot.com/
