But is it ART?

Jim Bob and his lovely wife Linda Bob had asked Mrs T and I to join them on a progressive dinner. We were there in a flash. On the way towards destination #2 Jim Bob says, "turn here".

Why I didn't know, but a good evening was about to become better.

We turn into your basic early 70's suburban neighborhood. Pretty houses, well kept lawns, mature flora, kids in good schools.

Left at the next intersection. I follow his instructions.

Then it hits.

So ask yourself. Is it art? The neighbors are not amused. Especially the guy with the deck overlooking the mess

My guess is that he is REALLY PISSED at somebody.

House sales have slowed in the 'hood, as there is no other home with an art installation.

one man's art is not necessarily another man's treasure! I'm sure the hood is up in arms over the display! I would not be happy if I had that view from Linderhof!

Words fail me. How awful for his adjacent neighbors and everyone within view of it.

I love it. I might put the wheels back on my house and pull it over to that neighborhood.

Toad - I think you are on to something esp. with the very large pronounced American flag on display in the background in full view through and around this 'installation.' Be it freedom of expression or something to do with a town ordinance and the homeowner found that this 'installation' met a loophole in the ordinance or something. I'm sure if you check the whitepages (reverse search) with the address, you'll get the name and perhaps then a city council meeting or something on line that gives more details. It certainly isn't to my liking but I must admit, whatever got under this person's skin to spend part of his valuable living time putting this installation together had better be a good story. I feel for the neighbors.

it looks like a giant pick-up-sticks game gone awry!

I will have to post a pic of the PURPLE house in my friend's neighborhood, ultra modern-HUGE purple house.

I don't know if it's still there, but back in the early 90's in teh small town of Tina, Missouri, (pronounced TIE' nuh) there was a house painted in the image of the American Flag....tacky, to say the least.

One of my best buds is from Tina, and this is the first place/time I've ever heard the town referenced anywhere.

I'm glad he's not my neighbor! I'm here by way of someone's blog off of the linky party at Hooked on Houses.
