In those halcyon days of my youth, long before the Farah Fawcett's of the world introduced soft porn posters as decorations for young men's rooms, there she was.
She was on the cover of every girls magazine for more than a decade, kicked off only if Princess Di needed air time. Manboys of a certain age lusted mightily for her, and did so for decades.
Darned if she hasn't returned, still hot, just shy of 70. I thought I had gotten her out of my system, but it doesn't appear to be the case.
Many thanks to Chico's and the mailman.

We gals back in the day loved her too, which is another great thing about her appeal. Anything she wore in those great galloping Avedon-captured leaps across the pages of Vreeland era Vogue, we had to have it too. It was really the joie de vivre she projected that we wanted the most.
Amen, brother. Amen.

A classic woman indeed I have always admired her and was also excited to receive my Chico's catalog!

Truly a fashion icon and a free spirit. If you read her bio you will see that she is a survivor too.
When he was 20, several years before we met and many years ago, my husband and his college roommate somehow managed to meet Lauren Hutton at an event in Tampa. He has never gotten over it! I guess I'll have to let him have a look at my Chico's catalog for old times' sake!
Don't T&C, it hurts too badly.
I've always admired her for sticking to her guns and keeping that fabulous space between her front teeth.
Even as a girl, I admires her style. Everything she does seems effortless.
I JUST saw her in that catalog yesterday....and I think I saw where Jacqueline Bisset is doing ads for a cosmetic company. Now that I'm getting on up there, I appreciate the older gals still getting a shot....
