Later, she briefly became Mrs. James Bond, in the George Lazenby classic On Her Majesty's Secret Service. (Can you name another George Lazenby flick?)
Late comers may have met her on PBS's Masterpiece Mystery series.

What I noticed most was her resemblence to Kate, The Duchess of Cambridge!
She may have been a "hotie" for the guys but she was a role model for us gals as well -- for she wasn't constrained by gender bias!
I love her too. Nice post.

My 30 year old step-son has a mad crush on her, having bought all of The Avenger DVDs. I quite liked the Mrs. Bradley series (except for the last one which was a bit silly). Loved her clothes and her character.
"Emma Peel, the thinking man's sex symbol" -- I read that somewhere. Fitting.

I may have been all of 13 when Mrs. Peel hit the airwaves.
Thirteen, right on time. Mrs. Peel set the bar at just the right moment. [Mrs. T looks a lot like Emma, by the way.]

Toad -- my ringtone for Mrs. E. is the theme to "The Avengers." Mrs. Peel, we're needed...
I even own the box set of the Emma Peel episodes. She was (is) brilliant.
I have been a fan of hers forever, although The Avengers was before my time. Her daughter has the same sort of regal bearing, I think.
