Life in the closing days of the empire
As when JFK died, I remember exactly where I was on the day of John's death. Such a tragedy. I still listen to his music.
I was surprised to learn quite recently that Andrew LLoyd Weber had asked John to play Jesus in the original production of JC Superstar. he'd only agree if Yoko could be Mary Magdalene.
This was one of the first thoughts I had this morning.
G. Harrison's tribute to John always leaves me teary-eyed: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0C4Xx83FB2M-Flo
John. Good stuff he wrote. Music changed with that quartet. Reminds me of the losers we live with, those that only take, never give, never add to humanity. I am tired (so very) of these folks. I hope all is well Toad.
I meant that human stain that took out John, loser that he is, not John himself. Forgive me, I am tired, it has been a very long quarter...
