Amelia


I was leafing through Nick Foulkes' dunhill by design and came across this snap of Amelia Earhart, taken in Newfoundland just prior to her transatlantic flight, on June 14, 1928. Until seeing this photo I had never realized just how beautiful Amelia was. It's no wonder they continue looking for her.

    Gosh yes, she was beautiful. Supposedly feisty too.

    There are reports of distress signals from her being dismissed as bogus. Very sad.

    Love Amelia's chic, tomboy style. She was daring and inspirational.

    And she's from Kansas!!! We had an Amelia interpreter come to our little town -- she was very interesting! The lady had an interesting life!
