What a lovely idea...wish more stores thought like that. I was shopping in Asda yesterday (British version of Wal-Mart) for Thanksgiving turkey and heard Christmas carols. Does my head in.
This is one of the many reasons why I love Nordstrom. When they first came out to the east coast in the early 90s, the country was going through a rough financial patch similar to this one. Many retailers were closing or downsizing...Nordstrom, meanwhile, was posting profits. Their entire approach to retailing is refreshing and sets them apart. Did I say I love Nordstrom...
mrs. T's favorite radio station turns to Xmas tunes the first of Nov. By the 2nd I'm looking to throttle someone. I can't imagine working retail and being subjected to holiday noise all my waking hours.
