  1. "crash linen"

Hm. You gave us the term, but as for the learning, you kinda left us on our own. I even had to get past google's Did You Mean CRUSHED Linen?

Onward, keep looking. Here's Britannica's take:

Which points to the term "Russian crash" which I happen to have a link for purchasing, I've bought from these folks a few times [for domestic uses], you might want to take a look at these folks, sir. That is, should you be interested in Russian crash which is heavily slubbed, very inexpensive.

  2. From the ad I take it to mean natural (unbleached and undyed) linen. I have a sport coat made from it (the fabric was cheap). I never knew such fabric had a special name.

  3. As for myself, I would just like to have the opportunity to buy a brand new Crash suit for only $38.

    Ok.

What color is your sportcoat that's made from natural/unbleached/cheap/undyed/crash linen? Is it brownish like that which is today called "flax"? or is it yellowish like what we today called "natural"?
