The 6th,7th and 8th grade thespians of French Middle School, Topeka, Kansas, presented Annie Jr., an abridged version of the Broadway musical Annie last week. Mrs. T and I had the privilege of attending the final presentation.
Without further ado I present our granddaughter Annie, aka Liz, aka 6th grader Paige in her rendition of Tomorrow.
I am so proud of her, the kids worked like troupers, it was a splendid performance.

Bravo to your granddaughter! I can tell why you are so proud!
ReplyDeleteStanding "O"!
ReplyDeleteMy GAWWWDDD! That voice! She did it, she held all those notes and she triumphed all the way to the end, ah such bravery, and poise. How does she do all that, on a stage, with people watching, and not mind all those eyes focused on HER? I'm completely amazed. Thank you for sharing this.

Flo, it didn't come from her father's side I can assure you.
ReplyDeleteI hope you weren't wearing a shirt with buttons, Toad. Perfect little Annie. How wonderful, too, that those lyrics will be with her forever.
ReplyDeleteYour heart must be bursting with wholly warranted pride. Congrats.
ReplyDeleteMany thanks to each of you. I was one proud grandpa, in my tartan pants black turtleneck and really blue shoes.

ReplyDeleteYou are denying that you and [your son,] Paige/Liz/Annie's dad are not showmen? I don't know, but from where I sit, and from what I've read around here, I see showmanship coded all up and down her paternal line. If you want to take some credit, I'd be the first to give you some. ['cept for them shoes]

Congrats to you and your family
