1000 Apologies

Friends: The beautiful photo of Central Park in snow, I used for a header this week was taken by one of my favorite bloggers, the inimitable, the sublime The Trad.

Had I been paying attention I would have mentioned it earlier.

A thousand apologies to him.

  1. It was beautiful trad!
I did that accidently as well but to a foodie blogger- Boy did I hear about it! I took an image from google images of italian cookies to illustrate a post. Because i blog so frequently, over time, google credited me with the image! i was receiving 30 to 40 hits a day for Italian cookies.
I do want you to know there were hundreds of images of Italian cookies I could have chosen. ( they all looked the same to me)

Anyway, the foodie blogger realized that she was not getting the hits she expected, did some research and figured out that I had, "stolen" her image. And that was what she accused me of! And then had all her followers contact me and accuse me too!

it was in innocence, but now- I am VERY aware when I "borrow" images.

  3. It's a lovely photo, but I was going to say I love the one of the house you have on now! Oh, to change banners like some folks change clothes...fraid I just can't be bothered. But it's lovely to see!

  4. oh, no! integrity has reared its head again on this website!

I genuinely like the Trad photo (his winter comings and goings on Christmas or something like that?), but i like all of the banner photos you use.

nice erratum, Toad. I'm sure I owe bunches of them errata.
